Beach 2013

For the past 3 of the last 4 years we have gone to Ocean City, MD over the summer and stayed in the same hotel.  If, somehow, I would have known that 4 years ago I probably would have thought that sounded boring.  But, the consistency has probably added to fun of it.  I don't need to worry about how to park, I know where things are, and because of how often we have been there the rooms don't even feel "different".

One of the things I find really nice about the hotel is it sits on the boardwalk. We get rooms on the ocean side.  The balcony doors are one big window, and the light coming in at certain times of day is being reflected from the sky, ocean, and sand.  Its like a gigantic softbox!

I try to get a couple pictures of the kids with it, it is too interesting not to use.  I just wish I could lift the "bottom" a little higher and create some fall-off with it.

Kathryn and Tobias cooperated a bit more this year than before.  Although, Tobias really wanted to use it as a chance to make strange faces, and Kathryn decided that actually-- you know --looking at me was embarrassing.  I also chose a cleaner background.  I'm not sure exactly what I was thinking back then.  Guess I improved a little bit.
